While you’re here, treat yourself to Michelin-starred dining at nearby Pentonbridge Inn, which sources ingredients for its eight-course set tasting menu from the Walled Garden at Netherby Hall.
Our Luxury Self Catering Cumbria based apartments have been designed to provide the ideal getaway, with top-quality furnishings and attention to detail, including fresh flowers from Netherby Hall’s own Walled Garden.
Located within the restored courtyard and grounds of Netherby Hall, all of our apartments and cottages are dog-friendly, and we’ll even make sure there’s a treat on arrival for your four-legged best friend.
Netherby Hall is in a spectacular location, with magnificent countryside views and acres of gardens and grounds to find peace and tranquillity. Just a 15-minute drive from the M6 near Carlisle, we are close to the wild and epic Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site and just 45 minutes drive to the Lake District.
With the Scottish Border just a couple of miles north, Netherby Hall is ideally placed to explore the beautiful south of Scotland coastline and its miles of magnificent beaches or the forest walks of Dumfries and Galloway.
Steeped in history, Netherby Hall has a rich and interesting past, dating back to Roman times. The Hall has undergone a multi-million-pound restoration project in recent years, to become the stunning, luxury self catering Cumbria based accommodation it is today.
Owners Gerald and Margo Smith have sensitively brought the Grade II* listed mansion, its gardens and buildings back to life. The main house is very much Gerald and Margo’s home and as the owners of two adorable black labradors, they have ensured that dogs are very much part of life at Netherby.
