DESCRIPTION:Max Beitan\, cello & John Thwaites\, piano\nCellist\, Max Beitan is the winner of 5 Grand Prix awards and 15 international competitions. Max tours and performs extensively in Europe\, the USA and Asia. His expression on the cello is synthesis of belcanto and a “speaking” technique. Listening to his collaboration with the instrument it seems to us that he sometimes sings and sometimes just speaks. Thanks to his energetic interpretations and a winning personality\, his concerts leave a unique impression. \nJohn Thwaites is best known for his collaborative work with strings and as a founder member of the Primrose Piano Quartet. The Primrose have commissioned important new work by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies\, Anthony Payne\, Sally Beamish\, Steve Goss and John Casken\, and record for Meridian. John was the UK duo partner of Johannes Goritzki for twenty years and has a duo of forty years standing with Alexander Baillie.
