DESCRIPTION:Join award-winning Botanical Artist Marianne Hazlewood for a two-day botanical illustration experience at Netherby Hall’s Victorian Walled Garden.\n \nBeginner to Intermediate Level\n\n Saturday\, 12th – Sunday\, 13th July 2025 — 10 am to 5 pm each day (lunch included with your ticket)\n Tickets are £180 for the two-day day\n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n Enjoy two immersive days learning botanical illustration with Marianne Hazlewood in Netherby Hall’s stunning Victorian Walled Garden. Visitors can now enjoy beautifully reinstated features and abundant cutting beds\, which provide produce to the nearby Michelin-starred Penton Bridge Inn throughout the year.\n \n\n On day one\, we’ll begin with an introduction to botanical illustration in the Summer House\, followed by a short walk through the gardens with Marianne. Participants can select a specimen from the cutting beds and begin preparatory sketches\, learning to observe botanical details and transfer them onto watercolour paper.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n Lunch is served in the Orangery on both days. In the afternoon sessions\, Marianne will guide the group through techniques for colour matching using watercolours. With her support\, you’ll begin painting your chosen specimen\, learning how to match shades and tones.\n \n\n The experience includes examples of Marianne’s award-winning botanical illustrations\, alongside a display of images featuring the Walled Garden\, Summer House\, and last year’s blooming beds.\n \n\n Each day runs for approximately six hours. Botanical illustration is a meditative and detailed process\, so expect to take your artwork home to complete. Materials are provided for the class\, but you’re welcome to bring your own\, and additional supplies will be available for purchase if you’d like to continue at home.\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n\nNote: Activities in the Summer House are weather dependent and may be relocated indoors to the Orangery if needed.\n\nAbout Marianne Hazlewood \n\n Marianne Hazlewood is a graduate of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and an award-winning botanical artist based in the Scottish Borders. SUMMARY:Three Inch Fools - The Most Perilous Comedie of Elizabeth I (Performance)

But will a brand-new Tudor musical romp\, in which Good Queen Bess takes to the stage herself\, be the making of this heroine or spell the beginning of her downfall? The stage is set for regicidal rivalries\, devious dramatics\, and plotting playwrights.
