Absolute Classics returns to Netherby Hall for the 2026–27 Season, with dates to be released very soon.

Set within the peaceful surroundings of Netherby Hall in Dumfries and Galloway, this much-loved concert series brings world-class classical music to the South West of Scotland. Each year, Absolute Classics curates performances of exceptional quality, creating intimate musical experiences in some of the region’s most distinctive venues — and we are proud to be one of them.

Founded in 2014 by Artistic Director Alex McQuiston, Absolute Classics has built a reputation for presenting both internationally renowned performers and outstanding emerging talent. Past artists have included Evelyn Glennie, Tasmin Little, Peter Donohoe, Guy Johnston, Dmitry Masleev, David Fray, Huw Wiggin, Anna Fedorova, Karine Georgian, Johannes Goritzki, Emma Johnson, John Lenehan, Soraya Mafi, Nicky Spence and many more.

The programme each year includes a four-day Summer Festival alongside the Winter Series running from August through to March. In a unique and meaningful approach, visiting musicians tour across the region and work with local schools, inspiring young people and strengthening the cultural fabric of Dumfries and Galloway.

Concerts at Netherby Hall offer something rather special – the chance to hear extraordinary musicians in an elegant and intimate setting, surrounded by history and landscape. Whether you are a long-standing supporter or new to the series, the 26–27 season promises another year of memorable performances.

Further details and full dates will be announced shortly. We look forward to welcoming you to Netherby Hall for another outstanding season of Absolute Classics.
